School Girl’s vacation officially starts today. For the next 2 weeks there will be cookie baking, trips to see the houses all in lights, a visit to the candy factory, and (speaking of visits) a big visit tomorrow. Oh, and seeing how long we can all stay awake on the Winter Solstice.
Love Me Tender – Elvis Presley
Transmission – Joy Division
Mongoloid – DEVO
New Rose – The Damned
Discipline – Nine Inch Nails
Money Changes Everything – Cyndi Lauper
Symphonie Fantastique: I. Reveries. Passions. (Largo – Allegro agitato ed apassionato assai) – Berlioz
Santa Baby – Eartha Kitt
******* (Plastic Jesus) – The Flaming Lips
Shaday – Ofra Haza
If you’d like to play along, just fire up your mp3 player of choice, set it tostun shuffle, and list the first 10 that come up. No cheating…

i LOVE “money changes everything”. and Eartha… well, she’s just the bomb.
Now I like the sound of cookie baking and trips to see the houses with lights.
Unfortunately I think once past a certain age turning up to see the lights in your pajamas and dressing gown just makes you look like you’ve wondered away from care. Christmas is so for the young.
Mongoloid is my favorite Devo song. The bass part is pretty awesome. Happy holidays!
I love that one too. Happy holidays to you too!
Cookies and Christmas lights! Fun! If only my husband weren’t such a Scrooge! (Well, he likes the cookies. Christmas lights, not so much.)
Some Xmas lights are pretty good. In fact, a friend in MN has a display in her neighborhood that I’m dying to see, if only in a video. We might go to the one at our local botanic gardens (right down the road from a liquor store – bonus!), but we’ll see what everybody can agree to do.
