Gratitude

Today is Thanksgiving in the US. It commemorates both the Puritans living through their first year, with more than a little help from their Wampanoag neighbors, and the beginning of the end of the Wampanoag’s existence as a tribe.

Thanksgiving is supposed to be a time when we give thanks for the good things in our lives. Here’s my list:

I’m thankful for my family; our biological families and the family we’ve added over the years – no matter how reluctant they are to be a part of our family.

I’m grateful that, even after the past nightmarish 5 months, we’re all still alive and doing okay. I’m also grateful to the therapists who have helped me to become a little more healthy than before.

I’m also grateful to my friends on Ravelry and elsewhere on the other side of the computer. Some have been even closer…

I’m especially grateful for all of you who’ve bothered to read this far. Thank you so very much.

As Thanksgiving is also a celebration of food, I’d best get busy in the kitchen with the rest of Chez Evil. Happy Thanksgiving for everybody in the US, and a happy Thursday to everybody else.

*HUGS* Happy Thanks Giving!

*tight hugs* I am thankful every day that you’re in my life.

*tight hugs* I’m really grateful that you found me, and that we can still be friends after all this time.

    Love you.

I am very glad to know you. :)

We had a most enjoyable Thanksgiving here. Hope yours wasn’t too crazy-busy…

Wow – that looks beautiful! Sounds lovely. :)

Ours was…kind of nice, actually. Just the three of us, but we all cooked together (doesn’t happen that often) and had a great time.

That’s weird. I thought it might have accidentally gone into the spam filter. Wouldn’t be the first time that happened, but it didn’t. Sorry. :(

Mobile Safari is kind of weird. I know I don’t have an easy time with it.
