The good news: this weekend is the Estes Park Wool Market. The bad news: thanks to a birthday party (that’s for someone that School Girl’s not especially close to anymore, and apparently will last the entire afternoon), we can’t go there for the whole weekend as we’d planned. But there is Sunday…

Nikki was always my favorite in that band, and his writing talent in this song really shows.
That’s a great version of Hallelujah. I love Wainwright’s voice!
I haven’t thought about Nikki Sixx for a long, long time. That’s a good one though – thanks for that link. *hugs*
I’ve had actual arguments about which version of “Hallelujah” is the best… there’s a lot of people who side with the Jeff Buckley version, but i think Rufus’s contains a lot more raw emotion.
k.d. lang did a version that is beautiful, but somehow too smooth; just her singing style, unfortunately.
*tight hugs*
But k.d.’s voice is so pretty. Doesn’t always match with the material, but I love listening anyway. The only versions I’m not crazy about are Buckley’s live version and the original. Sorry, but listening to Leonard Cohen’s like listening to a trash compactor. Great songwriter though – one of the very best.
