I had to pull the car over and just sit there the first time i heard MeatLoaf’s version on the radio. Didn’t know it existed.
The version i knew was the one that Jim Steinman performed himself in the late 70′s. The singing was awful, but the words stayed in my head for decades.
Protected Static: Very nice! I need to break down and rip those Siouxsie records I have to the computer; it’s been too long since I’ve sat down and listened to them, and that’d help. Are you going to see NiN on tour this summer?
Deb: I don’t think I’ve ever heard Steinman’s version of “Rock n Roll Dreams”. I’m guessing I didn’t miss all that much…
We saw NIN last summer, so probably not.
