Against all odds, the Colorado Avalanche have, thanks to Peter Forsberg, figured out how to score on a power play. They won their series with the Minnesota Wild on Saturday night, with a 2-1 victory.
The other official Chez Evil team, the Pittsburgh Penguins, had a 4-game sweep of their first round against the Ottawa Senators earlier last week.
Wouldn’t it be funny if, by some bizarre twist of fate, the Avs and the Pens were to meet in the final round? Yeahhh…funny. I’m not holding my breath, but odder things have happened.
Hey, the eighth-seeded Oilers were one win away from the Cup only a couple of years ago. One never knows!
