Yes, yesterday was School Girl’s official first April Fool’s day. Not exactly; more like the first April Fool’s day she had to negotiate on her own, without Mum and Dad’s help. It sounded like things went okay.
Apparently Best Friend Bear had a much easier time of it than some. School Girl said, “We couldn’t fool (Best Friend Bear) at all! We all tried really hard, too!”
So I said, “Well, good for her! She knows better than to take things too seriously on April Fool’s Day.” Then I took a deep breath and asked, “Did anybody get you?”
“Yeah. (Best Friend Bear) got me…the first time. Then I was okay.”
“Did anybody else try to get you?”
“Yep. But I knew better by then.”
And on the inside, I did a little happy dance.
